The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Training Program provides classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training to prepare students to qualify for the State of California CNA examination. Goodwill Southern Los Angeles County is the first Goodwill organization in the nation to become a state certified CNA Training.

Articulated units may be earned towards the LVN/RN programs at Long Beach City College. The certified nurse assistant training program is accredited by the California Department of Public Health.

Eligibility:

  • Be low income or no income
  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Have no criminal background
  • Pass an educational assessment of ninth grade reading and math levels or higher
  • Pass a nurse entrance interview
  • Pay nominal eligibility fee

Our healthcare training program works with successful graduates for up to five years to assist them in locating higher level employment as well as higher level training programs, such as LVN, RN, Phlebotomy, X-Ray, Pharmacy Tech, and many more.
