Security Officer Training Program

Security Officer Training Program

 

The Security Officer Training Program includes employment preparedness training, as well as, security guard training approved through the State of California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). Upon program completion, graduates earn their California Security Guard certification. Graduates are also provided the opportunity to interview with employers from the security industry.

Following program completion, graduates will receive:

  • 40-hour CA BSIS-certified Guard Card
  • Powers to Arrest and Weapons of Mass Destruction Certificate
  • Positive Recruitment Upon Course Completion

Interested program candidates must:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Pass basic reading and math test (9th grade level)
  • Ability to pass FBI/DOJ Live Scan (Decisions are granted by the Bureau of Security Investigative Services (BSIS))
    • No Felonies, Misdemeanors or Expungements
  • Physical requirements – be to lift 75 pounds, stand for eight hours, walk and run

This training program works with successful graduates for up to five years to assist them in locating higher level employment and training programs.
